“I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone at Soham for making me feel so welcome and making my stay so enjoyable. The children, teachers, staff, food- everything was amazing.”

“I was met by Rajesh at the train station, despite my train being four hours late! I was swiftly taken to the school where I was warmly greeted and made to feel at home. I began teaching the following day. Far from being a baptism of fire, my first day went very smoothly. The children, despite being a little chatty, are great and I was really surprised at the level of their English.Do we have six year olds that can spell elephant in England? I am really enjoying the adult education class in the afternoon. I have only been here for a limited time and already I have seen a marked improvement in their English. The staff at the school have been incredibly welcoming and are working hard to make me feel comfortable. Babu (sorry about the spelling!) the caretaker, can not do enough for me and even accompanied me to Secundrabad on Sunday. Nusrat, Suneetha and all the other teachers are working equally hard to make me feel at home.”

“I visited Soham for Kids on 18th January, 2013 with my wife Mrs. Griahshree Nair and we spent sometime with the staff and students. It was a great experience to see the kids, whom I know were recruited from the most underprivileged sections of the society. But once I visited the school it was hard to believe that these are the children from such backgrounds, for they looked like children from any reputed school, well mannered, well dressed and confident. They interacted spontaneously and could communicate well in English too. The school has a wonderful bunch of teachers and management team who are totally dedicated to the children. The school provides one square meal and refreshments to the children, arranges study tours and excursions, outdoor activities and a great environment for their mental and physical growth.
There are over hundred and fifty children and I believe it will grow to three hundred very soon. I understand and appreciate the enormity of the task undertaken by the management of Soham for Kids and their laudable efforts to provide an enriching life to these children.
