Zehra is the daughter of an auto driver who earns Rs.120 daily (£1.5/day). However, this income varies as he is aged and suffering with diabetes and high blood pressure which impacts his ability to work everyday. Zehra’s mother, works as a daily laboror in a small company and earns Rs. 3000/‐ per month. The family live in rented accomodations towards which they pay Rs.1500/‐ of his salary.
Zehra’s father has THREE children – Zehra, who is six years old and is studying at Soham for Kids from this Academic year in U.K.G. She also has two brothers who are studying at an Urdu Mardarsa. Zehra’s father needs to take care of his three kids and manage all other household expenses. As a result, there was no income to pay for Zehra Begum’s education, until Soham for Kids was established. Not only does Zehra get a well rounded education at Soham for Kids, she also gets nutrition, and healthcare.
When she grows up Zehra wants to become a teacher and is enjoying her time at Soham for Kids School.
